Village of Downers Grove Main Street Tree Lighting Ceremony

Join us for the annual tree lighting ceremony at the Main Street Train Station.

Join us in continuing Downers Grove’s beloved tradition by creating a handmade ornament for the holiday tree. Ornaments representing various community groups, businesses and individuals make our tree one of the most unique in the area.

Guidelines

  1. Ornaments need to be at least 8″ in diameter and be made of weatherproof material.
  2. No share edges, pointy ends or heavy materials, please.
  3. The string or twine for hanging should be looped and 10 to 12′ long.
  4. Ornaments will not be returned.

Please drop off ornaments, along with the ornament form to Public Works by Friday, NOVEMBER 13, 2026.
