We are Jak Creative Design, an award-winning branding and design agency based in downtown Downers Grove. Our team of creative problem solvers works with small businesses, mid-sized and Fortune 100 and 500 companies alike. We are looking for a graphic design intern. Specifically, a creative individual who either has graduated or will be graduating in May, who knows the Adobe Creative suite well, and has a strong design portfolio. We’re highly collaborative and are looking for an individual who wants to learn and can thrive in a fast-paced work environment. This is an on-site (not remote) opportunity.  
Experience you will gain:
– Designing print and digital materials (brochures, postcards, logos, HTML emails, static and animated web banners, websites, etc.)
– Preparing information architecture deliverables (wire frames, site maps, use case scenarios, and other interaction design)
– Brainstorming and working with the creative team on strategy for projects
– Creating mock-ups, when needed
Requirements
– A degree with coursework toward a design or advertising degree, and a kick-ass portfolio that shows it
– Strong Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop skills
– Firm knowledge of HTML and CSS, JavaScript, and web standards
– Knowledge of HTML5 animation a plus
– Understanding of concepting, typography, imagery, color, and layout
– Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
– A keen eye for details
– The ability to learn quickly, along with the desire to improve and expand your abilities
