Pinecone Cottage Tea House – Hurd Orchards Thanksgiving Tasting Afternoon Tea

Last November our Tea Sommelier, Julia and I had the pleasure of visiting Hurd Orchards for their incredible annual Thanksgiving Tasting event. Last year’s theme was This Land of Ours, It’s Abundance and Possibility. Amy Machamer, the host, and proprietor of this spectacular farm writes a beautiful introduction that is given to each guest. Here is an excerpt:

Autumn traditions of apples fresh and apples sauced, and holiday meals fragrant with our memories of drifts of cinnamon from the oven, and fat squashes and breads and cakes baked to perfection. This land is generous. Let us be thankful. Please enjoy my interpretation of a magnificent and delicious feast!

Pinecone Cottage is now taking reservations for Weekend Afternoon Tea and Tutorials on our website. For Weekend Afternoon Tea or Tutorials, using the reservations tab, make a date and time selection, to conveniently purchase your tickets through your PayPal account or as a guest. Call 630.963.9130 for Weekday Afternoon Tea reservations.

Please register and pay for the Tutorial one week in advance to help ensure it will be held as scheduled. Your registration is a commitment to attend, and fees are non-refundable. A minimum of four guests is required (not four in your party) in order to offer Tutorials and cancellations must be made at least five days prior to receiving credit for a future event, no exceptions. If you are unable to meet the cancellation deadline, you are welcome to send someone in your place. If Pinecone Cottage cancels the Tutorial, you will receive a full refund.
