It’s Groundhog Day! Once again, the eyes of the nation have turned here to this… tiny village in Western Chicagoland. When Chekhov saw the long winter, he saw a winter bleak and dark and bereft of hope. Yet we know that winter is just another step in the cycle of life. But Matt Dusza, standing here among the people of Downers Grove, and basking in the warmth of their hearths and hearts, we couldn’t imagine a better fate than letting him take over the taps for his fifth Groundhog Day with us!
This is one time where television really fails to capture the true excitement of a large squirrel predicting the weather, and of a delicious list of beers to celebrate. That list will be a Doozy (hehe, see what we did there?)!
If you’re stuck in one place on this evening, we sure as heckfire hope it’s here. Please refrain from showing us your whistling belly-button trick, and don’t drive angry on your way here.
