Fair Game – MTG DreamHack RCQ – Pioneer

Fair Game Downers Grove will be hosting a Regional Championship Qualifier! The top 2 performing players highly competitive event will win a seat at the Regional Championship at Dreamhack.

General Description

1. Please show up 15-30 minutes before the scheduled start time to have time to check in. Participants will need an official Wizards account to participate. If you do not have an account, you can create one for free here. Participants should download the Magic Companion app for the event. This app will be used for pairings and reporting. You can download that app here.
2. All players must have an accurate decklist for the event. We will be using paper decklists for the event. Please bring a paper decklist with you to the event (we will also have some blank sheets available for players, but please note that players must have this decklist completed by 12 PM). We found this site to be a good resource for creating the decklists. If you are unable to print out your decklist, please email it to us.
3. Each event will feature between 3-5 rounds of Swiss, based on attendance. If the event has at least 24 participants (or if the format is Limited), this will be followed by a cut to the top 8.
4. You must cancel your registration within 24 hours of the day of the event to be eligible for a refund. Failure to cancel before this time or failure to show up for the event on time will result in you being dropped from the event without a refund.
5. The events will be run at Competitive REL. You can review more information about the event format and rules enforcement level here.
6. The best place to find parking in Downers Grove is the parking deck. The parking deck is free on weekends and will usually always have available spots. For additional directions to the store (and the parking garage), please visit our website here.

Prize Payout

All participants will receive a copy of Thraben Inspector. Top 8 performers at each event will receive a nonfoil copy of Selfless Spirit, and the top-performing player will receive a foil Selfless Spirit. The top 2 performing players will receive a 3-day pass to Dreamhack Atlanta.

In addition, the top-performing players will receive a store credit prize based on the number of attendees. Please consult the table below:

At 8 players

• 1st Place: $150
• 2nd Place: $70
• 3rd-4th Place: $20

At 16 players

• 1st Place: $250
• 2nd Place: $100
• 3rd-4th Place: $50
• 5th-8th Place: $25

At 24 players

• 1st Place: $350
• 2nd Place: $150
• 3rd-4th Place: $75
• 5th-8th Place: $35

At 32 players

• 1st Place: $400
• 2nd Place: $200
• 3rd-4th Place: $100
• 5th-8th Place: $50
