Belinda is the owner of A Women’s Place Inc. She holds a degree in special education and behavioral disorders from Bradley University and taught four years. A licensed cosmetologist, she also holds a cosmetology teaching license. Her first beauty shop was opened in 1988. She began doing hair replacement in 1991 and breast prosthesis fitting as a certified breast fitter in 1994. She was first diagnosed with Cervical cancer in 1985. Later she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1991, 1992, 1994, and 2007 each time beating it. In 2009 she was again diagnosed with thyroid cancer and thankfully is now in remission. She is a strong willed woman who understands the fight, and she refuses to give up. But perhaps the best part about her is all the understanding and courage that she extends to her clients.
