Instead of artillery\, this unit fought with stagecraft\, artistry\, and deception. Their “weapons” included inflatable rubber tanks and giant speakers broadcasting fake military maneuvers. The soldiers called themselves the Ghost Army. Many of them had creative backgrounds in fashion\, theater\, and music\, and they used their talents to trick and confuse the enemy. Often\, their mission was to draw enemy fire away from other soldiers and toward themselves. \nOne of the most stunning parts of this story is just how effective the Ghost Army was. (Suggested donation $10).  We will also host this concert virtually.  You may access the livestream on www.twowaystreet.org\, on our Facebook page\, or on our YouTube channel. \nOn Friday\, November 14\, 2025 Two Way Street Coffee House Friday Night Concert Series presents Ed Ashe Jr and Ed Ashe Sr as part of our Local Artist Showcase. \nEddie Ashe   \nFollowing in his dad’s footsteps\, Eddie Ashe has been performing at Two Way Street open mics and events for 15 years. His acoustically driven sound can be described as “stripped down folk”\, featuring a deep baritone voice with a surprising range. To date\, Eddie has recorded and released twenty songs across several singles and short albums\, including Bread and Butter (2023) and Known to Ghost (2024). His music blends Chicago and Nashville sounds while maintaining a vintage feel. Eddie will be joined by his friend and violin virtuoso\, Will Greenlee\, for the opening set of this special concert. Ed has released one album\, Home Again\, a collection of originals and very unique arrangements on a few covers. DESCRIPTION:Pokémon TCG players of all ages (especially our younger Pokémon trainers) are invited to join us from 10 AM to 12 PM on Saturday mornings at either our Downers Grove\, La Grange\, or Geneva location. Admission to this casual event is free! \nParticipants in the event will have the opportunity to play casual games of Pokémon with one another as well as have the opportunity to trade cards\, swap stories\, and discuss all things Pokémon! Staff will be on hand to assist new players who are interested in learning more about the game\, including how to play! \n\nThe event will start at 10 AM and run to 12 PM. There’s no need to show up at exactly 10 AM\, nor does everyone need to stay to 12 PM. Drop in\, stay as long as you like\, and have fun!\nAdmission to this casual event is free.\nWhile many players get excited about bringing their cards to the event\, please note that there is no need to bring all of your cards. Most participants bring a small binder and a deck or two to play with.\nIf you are interest in learning how to play the game\, we will have staff on hand that will be able to assist you.
