Two Way Street Coffee House – Pat Gaughan and Nancy Maio

Two Way Street Coffee House is Chicagoland’s most beloved folk and acoustic music venue, presenting weekly concerts and community events for over 50 years!  The show starts at 8pm (CT) and the doors open at 7:30pm. On Friday, November 1, 2024 Two Way Street Coffee House Friday Night Concert Series presents Pat Gaughan and Nancy Maio.

Pat Gaughan and Nancy Maio, both accomplished musicians in their own right, have collaborated their musical talents, presenting programs of traditional Irish music, folk, Blues, Americana and original compositions. They have performed throughout the Midwest, playing at clubs, Festivals, Colleges, and headlining Concert series. As a duo they combine Pat’s rich voice and intricate guitar playing with Nancy’s instrumental virtuosity on the fiddle.

Nancy is active as a violin teacher and performs with several local orchestras including the Racine Symphony, the Festival City Symphony, and the Wisconsin Philharmonic. In addition, she is sought after as an Irish Step Dance competition musician. Pat teaches World Music and guitar at Mchenry County College. Her educational background informs their performances.

Pat and Nancy collaborated on Pat’s Irish album, “Parting Glass” which has received airplay on public radio stations in the U.K. and the states. It is available on Amazon and CD Baby. Together, Pat Gaughan and Nancy Maio have a warm stage presence that combined with their musical talents makes them a very memorable musical duo.
