Two Way Street Coffee House is Chicagoland’s most beloved folk and acoustic music venue, presenting weekly concerts and community events for over 50 years! The show starts at 8pm (CDT) and the doors open at 7:30pm. (Suggested donation $10). We will also host this concert virtually. Jack Kennedy has been playing a long time and has been around the block: he’s still looking for parking. This alone should tell you something. He learned from Art Thieme, Jethro Burns, John Prine, Dan Hicks, and many other singers and songwriters in the folk, swing, alt-country and jazz veins. His quite original originals will get you thinking and laughing. He’s performed at the Lake County Folk Club, Artichoke Music in Portland, Oregon, Birdland in NYC and has been a guest on Tom May’s River City Folk national radio program. Jack often gets positive comments on his clear voice. An added bonus for you: you can understand the words in his songs!
