Paul and I love to visit Tucson in the spring before the desert heat kicks up. The majestic mountains, blooming desert flowers and the giant saguaro cacti, are a welcome sight. This region’s cuisine highlights its deep-rooted connection to Sonora, a state in Mexico. Like many American cities, Tucson is a patchwork of cultures that began long before the Europeans arrived, and the cuisine reflects this rich history. Tucson boasts hundreds of Mexican restaurants, and the food is vibrant, exciting, and as colorful as an Aztec kaleidoscope. Late summer seemed the perfect time of year to feature this Sonoran Style Menu inspired by the rich culture of Southern Arizona.

The Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse is a lot of fun set in Trail Dust Town, Kartchner Caverns State Park is worth the trip, Tohona Chul has a lovely Bistro, and Cinderella’s Sea Designer Boutique for great clothes!
