ABOUT THE BOOK
Kathy Reichs meets Sherlock Holmes in this gothic Midwest thriller set in southern Indiana in 1978 that seeks to unravel a deadly tangled web of lies surrounding three former high school friends, one of whom has been missing for over a decade … but which one? And why?

“With a killer opening (literally) and a forehead slapping “Why didn’t I guess that” ending, Mim Eichmann has created a pair of compelling bookends to her latest novel, “Whatever Happened to Cathy Martin.” For those who appreciate craft in storytelling, it’s a must read.” – James A. Ross, author of the Coldwater mystery series.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Although many Downers Grove residents might remember the name Mim Eichmann primarily as the artistic director/choreographer for Midwest Ballet Theatre, a not-for-profit ballet company that produced full-length professional productions of “The Nutcracker” at the Tivoli Theatre for over two decades, Mim has found that her creative journey has taken her down many exciting, interwoven pathways. A desire to become involved again in the folk music world brought about the creation of her acoustic quartet Trillium, now in its 17th year, a folk band well known for its eclectic repertoire, that performs throughout the Midwest and has released four cds. She’s written and recorded two award-winning original children cds and also won awards for several fiction short stories over the last several years.

Mim has always been captivated by the letters, diaries, and journals of late 19th Century women. After years of passionate research, she finally put pen to paper and her two historical fiction novels become a reality — both released during the pandemic! Her debut historical fiction novel A Sparrow Alone was published by Living Springs Publishers in April 2020 and was a semi-finalist in the 2020 Illinois Library Association’s Soon-to-be-Famous Project Competition. The highly anticipated sequel, Muskrat Ramble, was published by LSP in March 2021. Both books are bestsellers. Whatever Happened to Cathy Martin, to be published in August 2022, is an upmarket fiction thriller based in southern Indiana in 1978. Please visit her author website: www.mimeichmann.com.
